Five juveniles from Bridgeport were arrested after police say they started fights outside the Trumbull mall and even tried to throw punches at police officers.
Police say officers from several towns were called in to help shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday.
Trumbull police say 20-30 teens were running outside of the mall where two female juveniles were fighting.
As officers were breaking up the fight, they say other juveniles jumped in and continued to cause a scene.
One male juvenile swung attempting to hit one of the officers but was unsuccessful.
Police arrested five juveniles between the ages of 11-15 years old.
Three juvenile females, and two juvenile males, both 15 years old, were arrested and charged with breach of peace and interfering with police.
One of the males was also charged with carrying a dangerous instrument, and possession of marijuana.
He was also found to be wearing a monitoring ankle bracelet for being on probation for a previous armed robbery.
All juveniles were released to the custody of their guardians on a promise to appear in Bridgeport juvenile court.
