Nothing says summer like beer and lawn games, with the fifth annual Connecticut Cornhole State Championship being held in Stratford Sunday.
The tournament took place on the grounds of Two Roads Brewing Company. Organizers say the event almost didn't happen due to the pandemic.
The doubles tournament was limited to 50 teams and Connecticut residents only.
Organizers say the normal indoor league has been halted. Attendees say they were just happy to get out and compete for the $1,000 top prize.
Every cornhole player received a beer voucher and there were also prizes for second, third and fourth place.
