The Jewish Community Center on Park Avenue in Norwalk has a unique class of preschoolers this year: eight sets of twins!

The center says the placement of all eight sets in the same class is a first for the preschool and was a complete accident.

According to experts, multiple births occur more frequently in women over 35, which may be the explanation for two of the mothers in this group. Use of fertility treatments also increases a woman?s chances of having twins.

One teacher has twins herself, though her children are now 20 years old.

?It's really hard work, actually, from the time they're born, until ? mine are now 20 years old,? she says. ?It's very difficult, but very special and very wonderful.?
