Connecticut's annual Sept. 11 memorial ceremony took place this evening. The service was held at Sherwood Island State Park. The proceedings featured the U.S. Coast Guard Cadet Glee Club, as well as a reading of the names of Connecticut residents killed in the attacks. The memorial was built at the tip of the park, from which the Twin Towers were visible and where emergency crews held staging operations during and after the attacks. Organizers say donations are always needed to maintain the memorial. To watch the entire ceremony, click on News 12 Extra on Optimum TV channel 612.
