Drivers can expect prices at the pump to continue to rise into the spring.
According to AAA, the national average is expected to reach as high as $2.70 per gallon. The current national average is $2.52.
Experts say Connecticut is still one of the highest states for gas, with an average at $2.69.
AAA says to save gas, drivers should slow down because the faster you drive, the more fuel is used. They say to share work or school rides by carpooling, or consider public transportation. Do not use your trunk for storage because the heavier the car, the more fuel it uses.
AAA tells drivers to combine errands and park in a central spot and walk from place to place.
