A potential kink in the supply coupled with strong crude oil prices pushed the cost of gasoline way up in Connecticut, AAA says.
The statewide average price for self-serve regular is $2.74 a gallon.
That's up 6 cents in just the past week, more than 1/4 from this time last month and 20 cents more than this time last year at the start of the pandemic.
AAA says our recent spike is not due to COVID-19 recovery, but rather the impact of the winter storms that affected more than two dozen refineries in Texas.
