A new enrollment center has opened in Stamford, giving more people a chance to sign up for an insurance plan.
Access Health CT is an organization that seeks to increase the number of insured residents in Connecticut while promoting health, lowering costs and eliminating health disparities.
The Ferguson Main Library is now one of 10 new enrollment centers in Connecticut.
Access Health CT CEO Jim Wadleigh says these enrollment centers help people simplify an otherwise complicated process.
"Here we have staff that can help enroll, answer the questions,” he says. “We have brokers who are critical to our success right beside them - being able to answer questions about plans and which plan may be best for individuals to select. It's kind of a great little microcosm in 10 different locations around the state."
Connecticut residents can enroll in quality healthcare coverage from now until Dec. 22.
