? It all began with a stomachache. Amy Oestreicher's stomach literally exploded two years ago, the result of a small blood clot that was building up pressure in her abdomen.
The news got worse. Amy would have her stomach and part of her intestines removed. Then news again got worse. She would not be allowed to eat or drink.
Since then, Amy has undergone 13 surgeries to repair her stomach. Now, the reality for Amy being able to eat and digest food is soon approaching.
"My first like real meal, I'd really love Chinese food," says Oestreicher. That first meal is just a few days away.
