Attorney General William Tong argued in court for maximum sentencing for the Redding woman accused of animal abuse. Police say in 2021, Nancy Burton turned herself in on 65 counts of animal cruelty charges, one for each goat confiscated. They reported finding over 40 dead goats. The judge ruled that Burton can't own animals for two years and msut take part in a rehabilitation program.
