Amazon is in talks to forge a partnership with Phrame, the maker of smart license plates, to allow items to be delivered to a car's trunk.
The company is also developing a smart doorbell device that would give delivery drivers one-time access to your home to drop off items.
The new initiatives are part of Amazon's effort to fix problems with missing packages.
