The American Legion Post 12 in Norwalk hosted a pancake breakfast and car show Sunday.

The breakfast was followed by a "veteran of the month" ceremony.

Members say you don't have to be part of this specific American Legion to be honored, anyone who has served or is serving is eligible.

Veterans say it is important to honor those who served our county not just on certain days, but all year along.
