Bear sightings are on the rise in Easton, officials say, although there were no dangerous incidents this past week.
Easton Animal Control says it received almost 20 animal calls this past week, and most of them had to do with bears.
Officer Kelly Fitch says the increase stretches back over the last few years, and the bears are growing bolder.
In one case, the animal crossed Route 58.
"I think they're just getting used to us," Fitch says. "They're just co-living with us like we're trying to do with them."
Fitch advises people who come face-to-face with a bear to slowly back away and call police.
