The whistleblower in a Bridgeport animal cruelty case has launched a fundraiser to pay for his dog's medical expenses.
Jose Valentin says his 1-year-old pit bull almost died after unnecessary surgery in February.
He had taken the dog to Black Rock Animal Hospital, where he says Dr. Amr Wasfi treated him. Police arrested Wasfi this week.
Valentin says he was proud to the be the whistleblower in the case, but now he needs help with those bills because he says his dog is still very sick.
