Community members marched through the streets of Milford to pay tribute to our fallen heroes Sunday after a wreath-laying ceremony.
The city's annual parade kicked off at Daniel Wasson Field and continued through downtown. Commissioner Sean Connolly, of the Connecticut Department of Veterans' Affairs, said holiday traditions are only possible because of the servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives.
Gov. Dannel Malloy said all Connecticut and U.S. flags will fly at half-mast until noon Monday in honor of Memorial Day.
