Police and the FBI a held a safety demonstration in Westport Wednesday to warn seniors about potential scams. Eleanor Green says she received a phone call from a man pretending to be her grandson. The man said he was in trouble and asked for $3,000. Green sent the cash. FBI agent Stuart Robinson says criminals are getting smarter and the best weapon of defense is awareness. Robinson says 10 million seniors fall victim to fraud every year. He also suggests anyone who was scammed in the past should change their phone number to avoid more fraudulent calls.
