Community leaders in Stamford are speaking out about the recent increase of violence in the city.
The Stamford branch of the NAACP hosted a public forum at the First Congregational Church on Walton Place last night.
They were joined by members of the police department.
Community leaders talked about working with schools and parents to keep teens off the streets.
Seven people were shot in July in Stamford. Two of those shootings turned out to be fatal.
