Bridgeport officials say they believe arson is to blame for a fire at an abandoned building.
It started last night on Stratford Avenue.
The building used to house a rubber company.
The fire chief says the building's tin roof made it feel like an oven inside. He says he had to constantly rotate crews in and out of the building because of the heat and the heavy smoke.
The assistant chief says there was also a lot of debris on the floor, which made it even more dangerous for the firefighters to get around.
No one was hurt.
