The Barbie world takeover hit a nursing and rehabilitation facility on Long Island Wednesday night.
Residents at the Gurwin Assisted Living Center in Commack were decked out in pink for their “Barbie Fest.”
The two-day celebration featured Barbie makeovers in its Barbie Dream Salon, where they got manicures, makeup and even hot pink hair extensions.
Many people dressed up in their best Barbie and Ken-inspired fashion in celebration of the new Barbie movie.
“We're honoring all our gorgeous grandmas here at Gurwin. And we're getting all glammed up, having fun and riding the Barbie wave,” says Gurwin director Marisa Billings.
The salon also featured Barbie-themed beach volleyball and bedazzled art workshops.
