A Connecticut man has been arrested for possession of a loaded gun at Westchester County Airport, authorities say.
State police say the gun was detected when X-raying the man's carry-on bag at security.
The firearm was removed by a Westchester County police officer who confiscated the gun and arrested the man on weapons charges.
TSA officials want to remind passengers that guns are never permitted in the cabin of a plane even if it's unloaded.
The penalty for carrying weapons recently increased to a maximum of $15,000.
