The results from an autopsy performed on the body found floating in the Long Island Sound are expected to be released Thursday afternoon.
Police and the Coast Guard discovered the body just south of New Haven Harbor Wednesday.
Raymond Callan, 57, went missing Saturday after his sailboat was found abandoned just south of Charles Island in Milford. He was expected to join friends from the Fayerweather Yacht Club on Block Island.
The Coast Guard called off the search late Monday.
