407ds agoAnimal control officials have issued a warning for New Canaan pet owners after a fatal bear animal attack.
They say it appears a black bear broke into a chicken coop and killed two birds last weekend on Lantern Ridge Road.
Officials say the bear made it through the well-built and fortified chicken coop.
The say there has been an increase in bear sightings in town as the animals gorge themselves to prepare for hibernation.
