The Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport says a Brazilian ocelot named "Pipoca" has died due to complications from artificial insemination surgery.
The zoo says the surgery was intended to help the ocelot get pregnant, which is important because the species is endangered.
They say they've had many successful insemination procedures in the past with other animals.
