Tributes are pouring in after a beloved woman known for working for years at a Norwalk restaurant passed away.
Anne Shirley Alston worked at Duchess, first in Darien and then in Norwalk, for four decades. She was known for handing out lollipops and dog biscuits and wearing a hot dog hat.
Most of all - she brought a love for life and people to work.
The I Love Norwalk Facebook page creators say they're discussing creating a scholarship that honors Shirley and everyone who makes an ordinary job something special.
