A Bethel woman who was fatally shot will be remembered Friday in honor of the town's first Gun Violence Awareness day.
Emily Todd, 25, who was from Bethel, was fatally shot in Bridgeport on Dec. 8, 2018..
First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker will sign a proclamation this afternoon officially declaring the day of awareness for Bethel.
Bethel is among 14 cities and towns in Connecticut issuing formal proclamations for National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
