The Johnson Elementary School in Bethel was locked down during dismissal Wednesday after a student said they saw another child with a weapon.

School officials immediately notified the police department. Police say it was a toy gun and that students and staff weren't in any danger.

Police say this is being treated as a serious incident, and mental health professionals will be available to speak to kids today if they need to process what happened.
