Connecticut Day has been a tradition at the Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts for generations. There's now even more to see and do!
Doors opened Wednesday to the newly renovated Connecticut building at the Big E.
"We ripped out a bunch of booths to make space for the CT zone, and that's an interactive area for folks of all ages to come in and see a little bit more about what the state's about," said Connecticut Chief Marketing Officer Anthony Anthony.
That includes a real astronaut suit from Collins Aerospace.
"We have this building filled to the brim with everything you can imagine that is all about Connecticut," said Connecticut director of tourism Rachel Lenda.
There's also plenty of food and drink, even from some familiar companies like Two Roads Brewery in Stratford.
There's also music and entertainment outside the Connecticut building.
"We are a barbershop acapella harmony choir based out of Trumbull," said Jennifer Uriguen from Trumbull.
Members of "Coastal Mix" from Trumbull say they are excited to perform here. "It's an honor actually. It's really special," said Uriguen.
New Canaan School of Rock will perform Wednesday. The lieutenant governor and other state officials are coming, too. The Big E runs through Sept. 29.
