State and local police gathered in Hartford Monday to urge lawmakers to pass a new workers comp bill.
The bill would extend coverage to police and other public safety workers who suffer emotional injuries in the line of duty.
It would cover impairments such as post-traumatic stress disorder.
Those against the bill say it could lead to expensive medical claims that cities and towns can't afford.
