A Bridgeport nonprofit that focuses on helping people who face food insecurity is spreading the word about its new location.
"We're thankful for the new building that we're able to be in. We're able to serve more families and get back to the services that we provided before Covid," says Pastor Mary Green, the pantry's executive director.
Earlier this week, the pantry teamed up Epfraim and Salem Luheran Church to serve 700 Thanksgiving meals.
"We have people who really need food. Food insecurity is such a serious problem and to see those 500 people coming through, families getting all of that food, and knowing 200 more were receiving it through delivery is very heartwarming," says Peter Mitchell.
