People in Bridgeport Thursday celebrated Black Business Month with an empowering event for entrepreneurs.
It was held at the Housatonic Community College.
There were inspiring panels, and networking opportunities for Black entrepreneurs.
The panel discussions provided insight for new business owners, on how to start and grow their business.
"Unfortunately, a lot of businesses don't know where to go, and this is a place where they can get very good information from various resources and services that is being provided by the state, by the federal government, and the great things about it, it's free," said Stephen Geyer, with Fairfield County Score.
The Small Business Development Center of Connecticut will have a free virtual seminar on growing and managing a small business on Aug. 29.
