Fire officials say smoke was seen coming from the former Stop & Shop location on Newtown Road Saturday night.
Crews from several neighboring towns responded.
Officials say flames were coming from a large walk-in refrigeration area and spread all the way to the roof.
One firefighter was injured but was not taken to the hospital.
