Swastika, names and other graffiti were spray-painted across playground equipment and sidewalks at Mountain Lodge Park, prompting a police investigation in Blooming Grove.

Town officials say the vandalism was discovered Tuesday at the park and included a white swastika painted on playground equipment, along with names and other markings on the equipment and nearby sidewalk.

Crews cleaned the spray-painted graffiti the same day.

Town Supervisor Robert Jeroloman called the vandalism unacceptable.

“This behavior is unacceptable, and authorities are taking the matter seriously as the investigation continues,” Jeroloman said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Town of Blooming Grove Police Department.
