The U.S. and South Korea say they want to send a warning to Kim Jong Un and North Korea, just a day after another missile test.
North Korea is claiming this time they successfully tested a nuclear missile capable of reaching the U.S.
Local leaders are speaking out about North Korea's actions.
“North Korea's crossed the line,” says Sen. Richard Blumenthal. “They have breached a threshold, and we need now a strategy that stops their continued development of intercontinental ballistic missiles that can now reach the United States.”
The senator says the strategy has to include pressure on the Chinese.
