As Henri carves a path toward the area, boat owners are making sure they are prepared for the storm's impacts.
The Dock Master of the Darien Boat Club says owners have called Friday to make sure their boats are secure.
Eautha Munkelwitz, a licensed U.S. Coast Guard captain, runs a charter company called Sail Naiad.
She says it's important to pay attention to the changing tides ahead of a storm.
"I'm always checking the water, and the time of the tide coming in as well, because the storm surge really effects with the tide, the moon, it's going to be a full moon right now so that's really important to look at as well," Munkelwitz said.
Munkelwitz tells News 12 for storm prep, she makes sure nothing is on the boat that can blow away and gets extra lines for moorings if need be.
She says she has charters booked this weekend, but doesn't plan on rescheduling them until the morning of, in case the weather changes.
