The Town of Winchester Water Department has issued a boil water advisory for all residents on Royer Street in Winsted.

The notice has been issued due to a water main break in the area.

The advisory has been in effect since 10 p.m. Sunday.

The boil water notice will be rescinded once the water main break is repaired and testing indicates the water is safe to drink, the water department says.
