Bond has been set at $500,000 for a Bridgeport woman accused of killing her fiance in a church parking lot.
Police say Griselle Pizarro shot Jacob Lopez multiple times at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses early Sunday morning after they had an altercation. Lopez was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the shooting.
Officers say Pizzaro, 36, admitted to shooting Lopez and she claims he attacked her before the shooting.
Pizzaro's family says the newly engaged couple had a rocky relationship and that it was common for them to verbally fight.
News 12 is told that Lopez had a history of domestic abuse.
Pizarro is due back in court Dec. 30.
