The Boy Scouts of America and local chapters in Connecticut have been sued in a lawsuit filed in Stamford last month.
The lawsuit claims a scoutmaster sexually abused 17 boys and two girls in the 1960s and 1970s.
The suit claims Boy Scout leaders knew, or should have known, that Ridgefield Scoutmaster Donald Dennis was a danger to scouts and claims the leaders did nothing to protect them.
Dennis died two years ago.
The suit alleges he assaulted some victims hundreds of times.
