Bradley International Airport has canceled about 40 percent of its flights due to Wednesday's storm.
The airport urged passengers to contact their carrier for the status of their flights.
Metro-North ran a reduced weekday schedule for most of Wednesday, but began running hourly trains after 8 p.m. The railroad said regular service would resume Thursday.
Metro-North asked people to travel only if necessary.
Amtrak operated with modified service throughout the Northeast region.
