Bridgeport was hit hard with rain and flooding Tuesday.

Tenants of an apartment building on Cartright Street say cars in the parking lot were covered with water.

Tenants tell News 12 the garage was flooded as well as some of the lower apartments.

They say they couldn't believe what they were seeing. One tenant told News 12 the water appeared to be anywhere for 3 to 5 feet high.

Several other areas of the city were flooded too.

There were no reported injuries.
