Local business owners are hopeful the return of the Bridgeport Bluefish will help the Connecticut economy.
"Baseball's a small piece of what goes on at Harbor Yard, it's actually much more about family entertainment, about having a good time," Bridgeport Regional Business Councilman Paul Timpanelli says.
The council and team owner Frank Boulton expects the team to become as successful as Boulton's other team, the Long Island Ducks.
The Bluefish hosted the York Revolution at Harbor Field for their season opener.
