Parents with children on the fourth-grade Bridgeport Chargers football team are outraged after learning that the players have been disqualified for a regional title.
The president of the Chargers association says the team has too many players.
He says national rules state that all teams cannot exceed 36 roster players, but the Chargers have 42.
Parents and coaches are fighting the decision and plan to continue contacting the national association.
In the meantime, they are planning to still show up for the regional game this Sunday, which takes place in New Hampshire.
