A Bridgeport detective has been cleared by state attorneys of any criminal wrongdoing in the death of a local man.
Police say Detective Christopher Borona was taking a break outside a fish market on Pequonnock Street in April 2013, when Bryan Stukes started waving a rifle. They say Borona shot Stukes after he refused to drop the gun and pointed it at the detective.
Police say an investigation found Borona's use of deadly force was justified by law.
Stukes' family says they are upset with the state's decision.
