A cat was rescued after becoming trapped inside a vacant Bridgeport home, officials say.
Maria Santos, 35, says her 4-year-old tabby Tigger was trapped inside of her neighbor's house while the person was on vacation.
Santos says she noticed Tigger was missing and then saw him sitting inside the window of her neighbor's home.
Over three days, Santos was unable to reach her neighbors. She didn't want to get in trouble by breaking into their house, so she called the fire department.
The Bridgeport Fire Department came and was able to enter the house without causing any damage.
Maria says the happy conclusion has filled her with joy.
