Bridgeport first responders hold ceremony to honor lives lost on 9/11

News 12 is told Deputy Fire Chief James Buck will be adding firefighter Steven Buda to a list of his tributes. Buda died in a rock-climbing accident in New York this week.

First responders and Mayor Joe Ganim joined together at the Bridgeport Fire Headquarters to observe 20 years since Sept. 11.
Identical ceremonies took place at fire stations across the city Saturday with fire trucks extending their ladders as part of the tribute.
Deputy Fire Chief James Buck presided over the ceremony with Rev. David Miller providing an opening and closing prayer.

Each man and woman in uniform fell silent for one minute at 8:46 a.m., the moment of impact at ground zero.
