A veteran Bridgeport lawmaker and city leader has written a book about her role in the Civil Rights Movement.
McBride Lee was 17 when she marched in Selma, Alabama on what later became known as "Bloody Sunday" in 1965.
Her new book is titled 'At the Foot of the Edmund Pettus Bridge.'
The movement was part of an effort to secure voting rights and equal treatment for Black people in Alabama.
There will be a book launch on Nov. 20 at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn.
