A Bridgeport man was arrested on charges he broke into multiple cars at several businesses in Fairfield, police say.

Police say Wilberto Acosta, 37, of Bridgeport, broke into six vehicles at three separate businesses in Fairfield early Thursday morning.
Police say they were first called to Gaines Construction Company on Berwick Court after a motion alarm went off.
They say the window of a construction truck was shattered and the truck was rummaged through. Officers say they also noticed a few cars were broken into at a shop next door to the business.
A short time later, police say they spotted Acosta walking on Commerce Drive with two large bags.
Police say the bags contained tools likely stolen from one of the businesses, someone's Social Security card, paperwork from a third business Acosta was believed to have targeted, and a change purse full of spark plugs.
