? A Bridgeport man plans to run across America to raise funds to start a clinic for cancer survivors in Connecticut.

Teacher Christian McEvoy, 23, is asking for corporate sponsors and donations for each stretch of the 3,500-mile journey he will run. McEvoy is also teaching a fitness class, with the proceeds going to his cause. He is raising money to start the Yale Cancer Survivorship Center. McEvoy says he was inspired by his role model Jeff Keith, who beat cancer and crossed the country on a prosthetic leg.

McEvoy will start his run in July, which is expected to take six months from coast to coast.
