Bridgeport officials are demanding answers after a mother with two young children, including a newborn, has been left without power for the past two weeks.

Officials said what's happening is illegal.

Charlene Fogle, 30, said her first-floor apartment on Oak Street has been without power since she moved in earlier this month. She said her landlord told her a transformer issue is to blame for the problem.

Fogle said her landlord has been paid through Section 8, yet she has no hot water, can't cook and can't wash or warm her baby's bottles.

Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim says he will have city health officials investigate the matter.
