The city of Bridgeport opened its splash pads across the city, despite the public health crisis of the coronavirus pandemic.
Splash pads were closed across the city, but officials announced they are open with new rules.
Officials say attendants will be stationed at each splash pad location.
At least five of the city's nine splash pads are open.
Officials say groups of children are only allowed to spend 20 minutes in the splash pads at a time.
parents must stay out of the splash zones, social distance from others and wear masks.
The city has seen hot temperatures in the 90s and above over the course of two weeks.
Fairfield and Trumbull opened their splash pads with similar rules.
