A 49-year-old Bridgeport man is facing drug charges after Trumbull police found crack, heroin and $1,000 in cash in his car early Thursday morning.

Phillip Rorie was stopped by police on Route 8 in Trumbull for an equipment violation. The officer observed multiple $20 bills and “other items consistent with drug packaging,” according to police.

Police discovered 30 bags of crack cocaine and 95 folds of heroin in a small bag under the driver’s seat.

The vehicles’ registration was also suspended due to insufficient insurance.

The driver was taken into custody and charged with sale of narcotics and possession with intent to sell narcotics.

Rorie was on parole for several previous arrests for narcotic sales.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 20.
