Bridgeport police have identified the city's 12th homicide victim of the year as 29-year-old Kyle Allen LeBlanc.

Officials say he was from Southington but had been living most recently in Stratford.

Police arrested 40-year-old Ricardo Maldonado of Bridgeport, early Friday night, a few blocks from the crime scene.

The death occurred behind Thirty Plus Social Club at 1985 Stratford Ave., although the victim somehow made his way across the adjacent Stratford line before collapsing in the street. That's where Stratford police found him just after 3 a.m., Bridgeport police said Friday.

"The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was declared deceased at the scene," said Lt. Angelo Collazo. "We are continuing to talk with witnesses and collect video and other evidence as part of our ongoing investigation." Anyone who can help police is asked to call 203-576-TIPS.
